This Privacy Policy describes how Omelas AI LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use the Hypnoelp mobile application ("App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect
We collect very limited personal information. The Hypnoelp App is designed with a stateless architecture, meaning most user data is stored locally on your device, not on our servers.
2.1 Information You Provide
Account Information:
- Email address (required for account creation and verification)
- Cell phone number (for account verification, may be implemented in the future)
- Password (stored in encrypted form)
Support Communications:
- Error reports and suggestions you voluntarily submit
- Communications with our AI system (not retained after transmission)
Important Note: User notes, workbook entries, progress information, and journal data are stored ONLY on your device. We do NOT have access to this information. If you delete the App, this data cannot be recovered.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
Usage Data:
- Course purchase records
- AI mentoring time usage (when applicable)
- Device type and operating system (inferred through platform APIs)
We Do NOT Collect:
- GPS location data or precise geolocation information
- Health information or medical data
- Detailed behavioral tracking or analytics
- Contacts, photos, or other device content
2.3 Payment Information
All payment processing is handled exclusively by Google Play Store and Apple App Store. We do NOT collect, process, or store your payment card information, billing address, or other financial data.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the limited information we collect for:
- To create and manage your account
- To verify your identity and prevent fraud
- To process purchases and manage subscriptions (through Google/Apple)
- To provide customer support and respond to your inquiries
- To send important service updates, policy changes, and account notifications
- To improve and optimize the App (using aggregated, anonymized data only)
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
We do NOT use your data for advertising, marketing to third parties, or AI model training that retains personal information.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share information only in limited circumstances:
4.1 Service Providers
- Cloud Infrastructure: Supabase and DigitalOcean (for secure data storage and hosting on U.S. East Coast servers)
- Payment Processing: Google Play and Apple App Store (for subscription and purchase management)
- Audio Generation: ElevenLabs (for text-to-speech audio content creation under license)
4.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or other legal process.
4.3 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction with prior notice.
5. Data Storage and Security
Server data is stored on secure servers located in the United States (East Coast). We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption, secure password hashing, and restricted access.
Data Retention: We retain account information for up to 3 years. Most personal data (notes, progress, workbook entries) is stored only on your device.
6. Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses minimal cookies and Google Analytics. The mobile App does NOT use cookies, behavioral tracking, or third-party advertising technologies.
7. Marketing Communications
You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking unsubscribe or contacting help@hypnoelp.com. Essential service emails cannot be opted out.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. GDPR users (EU/EEA/UK) and CCPA users (California) have additional specific rights.
To exercise any rights, contact help@hypnoelp.com. We respond within 30 days.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
10. International Data Transfers
Your information is stored on servers in the United States. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.
11. AI and Data Processing
AI mentoring inputs are processed in real-time and are NOT retained after transmission. We use a stateless system—no conversation history or personal data is stored from AI interactions.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be effective at least 30 days after notice is provided via email, in-app notice, or updating the effective date.
